Indie Merit recommends independent local businesses, professionals, and spots. Not a directory. A standard.
Indie Merit discovers and recommends the independents worth knowing. No chains. No hype. Just the standards locals trust.
It is published from Bastrop County, Texas. We build one place at a time and only put a business on the page when it earns it.
Listings are free. Recommendations cannot be bought. Every spot is reviewed by a person. If it is here, it belongs.
Indie Merit is not a phone book, not a marketplace, and not an ad network. Search ranks whatever pays or scales. We publish what holds up.
Formerly Local Hush. Same standard. Clearer name.
No national chains. No franchises. The person behind the counter has to be real and local.
Not algorithm-ranked. Ownership, reputation, and a working business come before the page goes live.
A listing cannot be bought. If we ever run a paid placement, it will be labeled as such.
