Indie Merit is a curated directory of independent businesses, operated by AllNet.app LLC. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Indie Merit is operated by AllNet.app LLC. If you have any question about this policy or your information, email us at hello@indiemerit.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us or what is needed to run the site.
Information you submit through a form. When you contact a listed business, submit a spot, join an email or mailer interest list, or claim a business, we receive what you enter, which may include your name, email address, phone number, business details, and your message.
Basic technical data. To limit spam and count engagement, we store a one-way hashed version of your IP address, not your raw IP.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It sets its own cookies and collects standard usage data such as pages viewed and general location. See Google's policies for details.
How we use it
To pass your message to the business you contacted through a listing.
To review and follow up on a spot you submitted or a business you claimed.
To send you the updates you asked for, and nothing else, if you joined a list.
To operate, protect, and improve the site.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited ways:
With the business you contacted. When you send a message through a listing's contact form, we forward it to that business so they can reply to you.
With service providers that help us run the site, such as our web host and email delivery, who may only process data on our behalf.
When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or of AllNet.app LLC.
Your choices
Email lists. Every update email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can email us to be removed at any time.
Access or deletion. Email hello@indiemerit.com to ask what we hold about you or to request deletion.
Analytics cookies. You can block cookies in your browser or use Google's opt-out tools.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to comply with our legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
